Disruptive by design, 5th Bootcamp Conference held at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island

The term disruptive by design was the theme of the 5th Bootcamp Conference held at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island which connotes the future of work and how technological advancements are changing the design and future of the workplace, the workforce and work itself. The founder, Adora Iwuemesi, opened the conference while the keynote address which came like a meteorite was delivered by the Group Managing Director, Interswitch Group, Mr. Mitchell Elegbe. Other speakers like Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Dangote, Troyka Holdings and many more were also present to share different and unique ideas on what HR ought to be doing to adapt the challenges and changes that digital disruptions present.

It all came down to the interactive sessions which later lead to paper planes of questions and answers flying about. They were also entertained with likes of professional skaters gliding around the hall to get the microphones to them; comedians cracking the audience ribs; dancers astonishing the audience down to the lunch. HR was incredibly fun compared to how we see them at work. Sponsors and partners also came bearing Christmas gifts since it is a season of giving; sponsors and partners like MTN, Troyka, MallforAfrica, Covenant University, PZ Cussons, Access Women Network, Cars45, Taxify, Solophones and Smile Communications.

It didn’t end there, exhibitors showcased their products and services along the hall ranging from insurance solutions to software wizards; healthcare checks to hair grooming options. It was doubt a full day of learning, networking and fun with exhibitors already booking slots for next year’s 6th Human Resources Bootcamp Conference.
